As for me I have no AVG a new custom built comp that can easily take the reqs, I have reinstalled, tried on every single low to high setting poss. It nice to see people getting their SH 2 working again.
The thing that bugs me a lot is the fact that it actually worked on release day (I even launched the game several times this day, so it's not a crash-after-first-time thing), yet the next days it doesn't work even though nothing should have changed with my hardware/software. I've tried to install the game even on different harddisks to see if it solved anything. My computer specs are well above the required ones (i7 SB, gtx770, 16gb ddr3. I've tried to restart the game literally over 50 times, I've restarted my computer several times, I've re-downloaded and re-installed the game and I've verified the integrity of the game cache. I decided to try a few things but to no avail, and then wait until the next day to see if it's fixed by the devs. I played the game just fine 2 days ago, but the next day (yesterday) the game didn't want to launch.
Whenever I try to launch the game, Steam takes around 5 seconds to launch it like any other game, then my screen blinks black really quick and creates a background process called Crusader2.exe taking around 20-30MB of my memory. Edit: Solution to my problem was to disable AVG Antivirus while playing.
